Students enrolled in Teton Tutors’ Radical Minds Academy are empowered to take control of their learning with the Personal Project. This self-directed assignment lets students dive into a topic they’re passionate about, while developing key skills like research, critical thinking, and creativity.
PERSONAL PROJECT
The Personal Project allows students to:
Explore a personal interest or passion
Conduct research and gather information
Create a meaningful product or outcome
Reflect on their learning and progress
KEY COMPONENTS
Students select a topic that inspires them and set a clear, achievable objective, whether it’s building something, organizing an event, or mastering a new skill.
Students investigate their chosen topic through research, interviews, or practical experiences to gain a deeper understanding.
Using the knowledge they’ve gained, students create a final product or outcome—be it a physical object, digital project, or organized event.
Throughout the process, students continuously reflect on their progress, learn from obstacles, and evaluate how well their outcome aligns with their original goals.
